Job Description:

Clarkson Mt View has an opening for an Assistant to the Director of Nursing.  The position is closely involved in planning, formulating and other various aspects of providing exceptional nursing care. The ADON is the nursing representative to the Care Plan Team. This position also includes being scheduled as the charge nurse as required.  The ADON assists the DON to maintain adequate staffing, hiring, scheduling, evaluating and disciplinary actions of health care staff at the direction of the Director of Nursing.  He or she will assume the responsibilities of the DON in the DON’s absence.

The ADON acts as liaison between Nursing Staff and the DON, ensuring good employee relations, productive work environment and communication to ensure the most effective resident care. Assisting the DON by monitoring, falls, antibiotics, psychotropic meds and other care centered quality control issues are integral to the position.  The ADON will initiate and oversee the in service education of all nursing staff. Essential duties include  survey preparation by assisting with facility preparedness and by keeping abreast of State and Federal regulations and quality care management.
