Am I ready for retirement living? (Return to List of Questions)
Only if you are ready for an active retirement lifestyle among people who share common interests and activities. If you are beginning to experience some concern about your later retirement years, Westhills' secure setting with an abundance of friendly residents and staff should interest you. Too many people put off the decision to take advantage of this full-service lifestyle until its too late. Once open, most retirement communities are quickly filled and develop long waiting lists. Don't let a late decision make you miss out on this wonderful opportunity.

2.

Can I afford to live at Westhills Village? (Return to List of Questions)
Better stated - you can't afford NOT to live at Westhills Village. When most people consider what they are spending to keep up their home, pay taxes, and the many other "home owner" expenses, it becomes quite clear that Westhills Village is a real bargain in today's inflated economy. Besides, many of the services provided at Westhills are not available to you in your home at any price. That's worth a lot!

3.

Do I have to turn over all of my assets to Westhills Village? (Return to List of Questions)
No, we do require a financial statement, but you continue to be in charge of your own assets. We do this to make sure that everyone who comes into Westhills Village has the financial stability to maintain the same lifestyle to which they are accustomed.

4.

How much does it cost? (Return to List of Questions)
Westhills Village is all about choices. The first option is a life care contract. The cost of the contract depends on the size of the apartment that you desire. There are two contracts from which to choose (the Original Plan and the Return on Investment). The resident puts a 5% deposit down when they fill out the application and the remainder of the contract is paid upon move-in. The deposit is 100% refundable up until the time you move in. There is also a monthly service fee which covers one meal per day in the Dining Room, housekeeping every other week, laundry of your flat linens and towels every week, maintenance of the apartment, all utilities except telephone, cable TV, and use of the whole Village. A portion of the Residence Fee paid becomes a credit against your bill when you are no longer able to live in your apartment and need either assisted living or health care on a permanent basis. This credit amount never runs out.

There is also a lease option available on our apartments that does not involve the upfront investment.  The lease involves a security deposit, which varies with the size of apartment, and a monthly service fee which covers the same services as listed above. There is an incentive if you choose to switch from a lease to a contract within the first year of living at Westhills Village.

5.
